Psychological Therapy for Women

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low in mood, or struggling to navigate a challenging season of life, you don’t have to do it alone.
I provide individual psychological therapy for adult women who are feeling emotionally stretched - by work, relationships, parenting, life transitions, or the mental load of everyday life. Many women seek therapy not because they’re in crisis, but because they’re tired of coping on their own and want things to feel more manageable and aligned.
Therapy is a collaborative process. We work together to explore what matters to you, what’s contributing to how you’re feeling, and how you’d like things to change. I prioritise building a strong therapeutic relationship so you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported.
My approach
My approach is warm, thoughtful, and grounded in evidence-based psychology.
I use practical strategies that can be applied in your day-to-day life, and tailor our work together so it fits your individual needs, values, and goals. With over 20 years’ experience as a psychologist, I primarily draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I run a small, boutique private practice, allowing me to offer personalised care while maintaining clear boundaries around capacity and quality of support. To ensure continuity and depth of care, I work with a limited number of therapy clients at any one time.
Therapy may be helpful if you are:
You might consider therapy if you’re experiencing things such as:
-
ongoing anxiety, low mood, or emotional overwhelm
-
feeling stressed, burnt out, or mentally exhausted
-
difficulty switching off, overthinking, or being self-critical
-
navigating grief, loss, or a significant life change
-
feeling stretched by work, parenting, or competing demands
-
struggling with boundaries, people-pleasing, or saying no
-
relationship stress or communication difficulties
-
feeling disconnected from yourself or unsure what you need
-
wanting support to feel calmer, clearer, and more grounded
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many women reach out simply because they know something isn’t working and they want support to move forward more intentionally.
